Everton Feel Highly Rated Star Slipping From Grasp

Youri Tielemans is one of European football’s hottest youth prospects right now, lauded as a future star from a very young age, the Belgian midfielder now casts his gaze away from Everton and other English clubs, after recently being linked with Monaco.

Youri’s popularity has gone up another level after facing Manchester United in the Europa League, since no one earns more views than the Red Devils. Though everyone knew of the highly talented Belgian midfielder, few people had been tuning in every week to watch Belgian football, but When Anderlecht faced United, Youri stepped up.

He was a threat, and hit the cross bar when smashing the ball with superb technique, leaving United thanking their lucky stars that the youngster hadn’t just crushed their dreams. Manchester United would win over the two legs, but Youri made his mark.

After being heavily linked with Everton to join our Belgian contingent all season, now it seems Monaco are interested, and you could never blame him for picking them over us. They are unique, at times it seems like they play with 3 number 10’s sitting behind El Tigre, Falcao. Not only are they an exciting team, but he would fit in perfectly over there.

Everton do have a significant emphasis on promoting and developing youth players though, there is no question as to whether or not joining his fellow Belgians would be a good career move for him. We are a team on the up and will have Europa League football next season, he will have plenty of game time should he move to Merseyside.

However, maybe with strong rumours that Lukaku will leave in the summer, and with Mirallas previously showing signs of unhappiness, Tielemans may have been dissuaded by the uncertain position his national friends face.

Youri would be a great addition to our squad, and I’m certain he would quickly become a fan favourite. If you’re looking for a player to rotate with Barkley, there are few players who would be a better choice than Tielemans, I hope he will be wearing royal blue come summer.
