There’s no doubt that Everton are, come January, in the position to strengthen their squad via the transfer market.

Here’s the roundup of forwards that have been linked to a Goodison move. Most of the hype has been placed firmly on the Toffees desire to bolster their attacking force, thereby aiding the team’s overall scoring production.

Acquiring a few new forwards would also lessen the scoring load placed on Romelu Lukaku, who has scored seven of the team’s 16 goals so far this season.

Andrea Belotti

The Italian forward is almost scoring at will in the Serie A. He has 10 goals in 10 appearances in the current campaign to go along with three assists. Arsenal and Liverpool, among other top European clubs, are also in hot pursuit of the scoring dynamo.

He’s valued at about £20 million and has no real downside. Belotti gets involved in all aspects of the play and loves to commit to the tackle and track back defensively.
