Christmas came one day late for the Toffees, who – with a 2-0 victory over defending champions Leicester – won their first match away from Goodison since Sept. 12.

Here are the five takeaways from a hard-fought win at King Power Stadium.

5. Joel Robles took his chance with confidence & control

Joel Robles made the most of his Boxing Day start. He commanded the box, coming out with perfect timing to thwart an abundance of Leicester crosses. He used his big frame to perfection and was unerring and sure handed all afternoon. Leicester didn’t have too many glorious scoring chances, but Robles was always there when called upon and exuded the kind of confidence his defense needed in such unfriendly confines.
