Everton are rumoured to have signed Sandro Ramírez from Malaga already, with the two clubs having come to an agreement which will be formalised when the transfer window officially opens. Koeman will secure this new addition by paying a tidy £5 million fee, it’s looking like shrewd business by the Everton board.

Koeman has often opted for the ‘Christmas tree formation’ this season, the 4-3-2-1 using 2 attacking forwards behind either side of Lukaku. Sandro fits the mould to slot in behind the striker, often in this formation, one of the two attacking forwards will be more offensive based while the other will look to be more creative and contribute in defense; think Mirallas and Barkley. Sandro strikes me as very similar to Mirallas at first glance, I expect Koeman to imitate at Everton what he had with Long and Tadic linking up with Pelle, with Sandro playing like Long used to.
Everton are in desperate need of depth with European football being added to the schedule next season, with Deulofeu on the way out and Bolasie injured, a cheap offensive addition to the squad is brilliant business by Everton.

Once a prospect at Barcelona, Sandro Ramírez didn’t meet their lofty expectations, but in all fairness to him, no club has higher standards than they do. He’s still young at 21, at 5’7” he depends on his technique and speed to beat defenders, and this season he has equalled a goal every other game totalling 14 goals and 2 assists in 28 games.
He only started 16 of those games, so we can expect to see him used as a squad player for Everton unless he proves himself to be a starter. We will most likely see him early on in cup runs and mainly being used as a sub should a game need more threat from us. I’m looking forward to seeing how Koeman will develop our new signing, Everton have needed more shot-takers for a while now, and hopefully Sandro can be a goal scorer in our depleted attacking ranks.
