Beni Baningime has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with Everton, to calm fears he could leave to join Manchester United.

Last week, we referenced a report, indicating Beni Baningime was attracting attention from other clubs, including Manchester United. As a result, Everton were apparently preparing to offer a new contract, to secure his future on Merseyside.

Well, now we can confirm the Blues have come through, to put to rest any fears about Baningime leaving. As confirmed by Evertonfc.com, he has signed a new two-and-a-half year deal with the club.

The 19-year-old was an integral part of the Under-23s side, which won the inaugural Premier League 2 title last season. This was impressive, when considering he only played his first game for David Unsworth’s team on the final day of the previous campaign.

Baningime has been with Everton since the age of nine, when he joined their academy. At the conclusion of last season, he won the club’s prestigious Keith Tamlin award, given to the player who best exemplifies attitude and application.
