As Everton supporters wait for the final confirmation of who will be the new Blues boss, we take a look at some less well-known coaches who are perhaps available and might be considered?

The Telegraph has produced an excellent piece on 10 European coaches who are slipping under the radar. There are several who might be a good fit for Everton.

We know that new Director of Football Marcel Brands is taking a key role in the selection of the new manager.

And although Marco Silva still seems the front-runner there are hints that Brands is also open-minded about considering other candidates.

For him the key is whether that person buys into the new philosophy and football culture he is keen to embed at Everton.

This is something I think is crucial to building a sustainable future for the club.

So let’s look more closely at some of these coaches.

The first one to look at is Domenic Tedesco. The Italian born coach has just enjoyed a superb season at Schalke leading them to a Champions League place.

He is according to the paper a tactically sophisticated coach, something Everton have certainly lacked in recent months!

Another coach in Germany who would seem a good fit for Everton is the former RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hassenhuttl.

Austrian Hassenhuttl led a very exciting and attacking Leipzig team this season to second place in the league. He has also helped unearth and develop players like Naby Keita, who is joining Liverpool next season.

The Telegraph says he is a perfect fit for a club developing a technical of football director/coach combination. That sounds just like Everton at the moment.

But he has also fallen out with the hierarchy at Leipzig, which is why he left the club and this might indicate he is a bit of a combustible character.

These coaches though have obviously no Premier League experience and would represent a gamble for sure.

The final potential candidate I’d like to focus on does have English football experience, Slavisa Jokanovic.

More from Prince Rupert's Tower

Fulham have enjoyed a fantastic season in the Championship making the playoff final after a win over Derby.

The West London club have played some brilliant attacking football this season with players like Ryan Sessegnon and Tom Cairney excelling.

Jokanovic has been linked with Chelsea recently but it’s doubtful they would go for someone like him when a high-profile coach from a top European league is available.

This would be a real left-field move from Everton, which is highly unlikely. But it’s interesting speculation. Let’s just hope that the club really are keeping an open mind to unfamiliar candidates.
