We round-up those Everton players who were in action yesterday or will play tonight as this current round of international fixtures continue.
One Everton player who won’t be paying for his country tonight is Seamus Coleman. The Ireland full-back hasn’t recovered from an ankle injury sustained in his country’s 4-1 loss to Wales on Friday night.
Moving on, in a dramatic UEFA Nations League game in Stockholm last night, Everton striker Cenk Tosun’s Turkey came from behind to secure a 3-2 win.
Tosun continued the solid form he has shown for Everton this season, contributing an assist in the victory over the Swedes.
Sweden took control of the game and went 2-0 up but Turkey fought back really well and Tosun’s assist led to their equaliser.
The former Besiktas striker had the chance to net himself late on in the game but was denied a goal.
Tosun has had that sort of season. He’s already made 2 assists for Everton in the Premier League but he’s not yet found the back of the net for the Blues. Hopefully he can change that very soon.
The Turkish forward is though playing an increasingly integral role in Everton’s attacking football and is developing a solid understanding with new signing Richarlison, which is a very good sign.
Talking of Richarlison, the Brazilian is in line to play again in tonight’s match against El Salvador, according to South American football expert and journalist Tim Vickery. He might also start in this friendly.
Speaking on evertonfc.com, Vickery says that Richarlison’s early season form for Everton has really impressed the Brazilian coaching staff.
They also see him as having the ability to play through the middle as well as in his usual left-sided role. This is something we’ve talked about here before.
The 21-year-old has the pace, strength and willingness to run at defences to play more centrally. And his ability in the air is also a real asset when playing as a centre-forward, giving his team the option of a more direct approach too.
It will be interesting to see how this experiment goes if he does indeed play tonight in a central striking role.

I think that long-term Richarlison might well evolve into a centre-forward, given his qualities. Although one who can still drift out wide and interchange with other forwards. An attack with him, Tosun, Theo Walcott, Bernard, Ademola Lookman and Dominic Calvert-Lewin promises much.
Richarlison playing in this way would give Everton an even more dynamic and fluid attack that should prove very effective in the Premier League. It would also be an overwhelmingly youthful forward line as well.
And with the arrival, (hopefully), next season of Henry Onyekuru, the Blues would have another talented young forward who is versatile and able to play in a wide left position, further strengthening manager Marco Silva’s options.
All of which should give Blues fans cause for real optimism that Everton will have an attack good enough to trouble the very best defences in the Premier League and help the side kick on and win a trophy at last.
