There are further rumours that Everton midfield loanee Andre Gomes is on the radar of several other clubs as the Blues look to sign him long-term.

Gomes has had an excellent first season at Everton impressing all with his technical skill, creativity and work rate.

He has provided something that the Blues have lacked for a long time; a genuinely international class midfield playmaker.

The Portuguese player has also struck up a good partnership with Idrissa Gueye in the midfield.

The pair have been very effective generally this season and keeping that partnership if possible will provide a stable base to move forward.

Everton fans are hoping he will sign a permanent contract this summer and certainly manager Marco Silva wants him to stay.

But inevitably his impressive performances at Goodison Park have alerted other Premier League clubs and now according to the Sun, Arsenal and several European clubs have joined the race for his signature.

While there may or may not be much to these stories, it’s vital the Toffees move quickly to secure Gomes signature because it’s almost certain that other clubs do have him on their radar.

In other transfer related news apparently Director of Football Marcel Brands has ruled out moves for either Hirving Lozano or David Neres, two young forwards in Dutch football who have been linked to the Blues.

This is an interesting response, which may or may not be true. there are bound to be plenty of similar types of rumours gathering pace as the season finishes and transfer stories pick up piece.

Also in another story doing the rounds at the moment, Everton defender Yerry Mina may be in trouble over an alleged involvement with a betting company backing his native Colombia.

Supposedly he agreed to appear in a betting commercial, which is apparently illegal in English football according to the article. However the piece says it’s likely that Mina will only face at most a fine.
