The summer transfer rumour mill is continuing to gather pace as Everton begin their pre-season training and tours and build up for the start of a new Premier League season.

And as the team train and play in Switzerland, Everton are being linked once more with a big money move for Juventus starlet Mosie Kean.

Several papers continue to claim that Marcel Brands and Marco Silva have identified the youngster as a possible solution to the ongoing centre-forward conundrum.

We’ve obviously touched on this one before and Kean does look a talent who might well fit into Everton’s system and style under Silva. He’s also the kind of young player who would very much represent the type Brands looks for.

The Liverpool Echo claim the deal might rise to £40 million in the end if the Blues do try to prise him away from Italy.

In other more far-fetched rumours, the Toffees continue to be associated with a possible move for the former Chelsea frontman Diego Costa.

The ever controversial and combustible 30-year-old striker is currently back at Athletico Madrid but there are stories he might be on the Toffee’s radar too as a so-called ‘statement signing’ by owner Farhad Moshiri.

Reports claim that the former Spain international is ready to consider a potential move to Merseyside.

However this one does look very unlikely. As well as the fact he would probably attract some strong competition amongst major European club, given his age and chequered disciplinary history it doesn’t seem to be a move that fits in with the established transfer strategy of Brands and Silva.

So I think we can chalk this one up to perhaps some creative thinking by the big forward’s agent.

Breaking News:

As I write this, Everton have just announced that Fabian Delph has signed for the club on a three-year deal.

The now ex-Manchester City player will now join up with his new teammates in Switzerland as their pre-season tour continues.

I think this is a decent signing and a player who can contribute to the Blues developing and improving. So welcome to Goodison Park Fabian!
