Everton issue Todibo ultimatum
Reports today in the Liverpool Echo, claim that Everton have issued an ultimatum to Barcelona over any potential transfer deal for their young centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo.
According to these reports, Everton are getting tired of Barcelona stalling on a possible deal for the defender, and so they have made a ‘final’ bid for him.
Todibo is yet another player that the Toffees are supposedly very keen on and have made moves to sign, at least according to some of these media reports.
The young French centre-back, currently on loan at Schalke, is seen as a possible alternative to the Blues first choice new defensive recruit, Lille and Brazil defender Gabriel.
Other clubs are also rumoured to be interested in the Brazilian player, and so it seems increasingly possible that Everton might lose out if those other clubs do move for him.
So attention has allegedly turned to Todibo. But now it appears that the Toffees have grown frustrated with Barcelona’s attempts to create a bidding war with other clubs, and have now drawn a line in the sand in terms of potential negotiations.

In other transfer news, the Toffees are now being linked with a surprising move for out-of-favour Reds midfielder Adam Lallana, who is out of contract this summer and is seen as surplus to requirements at Anfield.
This story has emerged as the sports media search for ever more improbable candidates to fill Everton’s central midfield void.
Lallana was a highly regarded player at Southampton before his big money move to Liverpool but has since suffered a series of injuries and has fallen down the pecking order.
But I think that the chance of any move by the Blues top brass for him, is extremely unlikely. Lallana is 32 and given that and his injury track record it would be a real turn up for the books if he were to swap Anfield for Goodison Park.
