Everton must enter the race to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso.
Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso doesn’t have a bright future at the Allianz Arena and has been given permission by the Die Roten to sort his future elsewhere. This has created a domino effect with clubs lining one behind the other for signing the Frenchman.
Manchester United were the first club to approach Bayern and Tolisso’s entourage. The German club have slapped a €35 million price tag on the 25 year old which is a very modest fee considering he still has a lot of years in his prime. Manchester United want to improve the squad quality and Tolisso is a good shout.
#RMCsport

However, from the player’s point of view, he may only be able to be at best a squad player at Old Trafford. United midfield is stacked with Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, Fred, Nemanja Matic. Fred has won the trust of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after strong performances this term whereas McTominay has cemented his place alongside Fernandes. Paul Pogba’s return to the team makes the midfield more competitive.
Instead of joining Manchester United, Corentin Tolisso must think of choosing a club where he can make a bigger difference. A move to Everton will be a win-win deal for both parties. Everton have been struggling in the middle of the park and really need a reliable player who can anchor the midfield. Morgan Schneiderlin is also linked with an exit to Nice, freeing up space in the midfield.

As for the 25 year old player, he can straightaway walk into the first team because of his superior technical skills compared to others in the team. The Everton midfield isn’t in great shape and is an area which needs the most attention.
The Merseyside club is also tracking Southampton captain Pierre-Emile Hojberg but Tottenham Hotspur are said to be leading the race for the Danish midfielder. The Toffees were willing to pay €40 million for the 24 year old player but can’t promise him Champions League football.
It shouldn’t be a problem for Everton to pay €35 million for Corentin Tolisso but the only issue might be the lack of European Football at Goodison Park. So it all comes down to how persuasive Carlo Ancelotti and Everton can be. The bait of being one of the most important players of the squad at Finch farm than being a squad rotational player at United may just tilt Tolisso’s decision. The ball is in Everton’s court and they need to soon take a decision on signing Corentin Tolisso.
