Everton will have a huge benefit in their pursuit of Andreas Pereira if Manchester United completes the signing of Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.

Earlier, Prince Rupert’s Tower covered a story linking Andreas Pereira to Everton. His current employers, Manchester United, are ready to sell the Brazilian in order to make room for new signings and generate funds for transfers. Manchester United are actively pursuing a deal for Jack Grealish. The Aston Villa playmaker has been in terrific form, scoring 7 goals and assisting 6 in 26 Premier League games.

However, the newly promoted side find themselves in deep waters and is one of the favourite sides to get relegated at the end of the season. The Villians know that with their demotion they would also lose some of their biggest stars. Jack Grealish, John McGinn and Tyrone Mings are already linked with moves elsewhere. The club board has now quoted the price for their captain Grealish as Aston want £80 million for the talented midfielder, according to Daily Mail.

The Red Devils are now clear about the sum that they’ll have to pay for Jack Grealish’s services and have begun the backstage work of working the finances of the transfer. It is clear that United will want to get Grealish for much less and are waiting to see if Villa soften their stance if their relegation to Championship is confirmed. However, Ed Woodward and Co are also hoping to sell some players and generate the extra funds needed and Andreas Pereira is set to get the chop.

More from Prince Rupert's Tower

Manchester United’s passionate interest in Grealish will be good news for Everton as the Manchester based outfit is less likely to hold onto their 24 year old midfielder. It also means that the club board won’t be very stubborn while doing business for Andreas Pereira. The Belgian born Brazilian is valued at £15 million but with a host of clubs in the race for Pereira, the Red Devils will be hopeful in receiving a bigger bid. Newcastle United also share the same fondness for Pereira and want to bring the versatile midfielder to St.James Park.

Pereira has a lot to offer if he arrives at Finch Farm. The 24 year old can operate on either side of the midfield and also deputize in a No.10 role. He is known to be an actively plunging midfielder who thrives on his physical and rash nature to win the ball. There’s no doubt that his technical ability needs polishing but at 24, he has time on his side to hone his skills. Perhaps, Andreas Pereira will have a better chance to develop at Goodison than at Old Trafford. With Grealish arriving at Carrington, Pereira stares at a massive reduction in game time. The midfielder will have an easier go at Goodison giving the Toffees midfield much needed improvement.
