Everton will be without centre backs Yerry Mina and Mason Holgate against Sheffield United.
The draw against Aston Villa was not acceptable to any Everton fan. It felt like a defeat because dropping points against an almost relegated team isn’t an ideal scenario. However, there is more bad news for Toffees fans as Carlo Ancelotti has given updates on the squad availability on Monday for the match against Sheffield United. Centre back pair of Yerry Mina and Mason Holgate are ruled out for the game.
In fact, the duo is not only sidelined for the game against Blades but also for the remaining season. The Toffees have two games to play before calling it a day for the 2019-20 season which has been worrisome for the ardent Everton army.
The club has been through so much this season, from dropping into the relegation zone after the derby loss to having highly revered Carlo Ancelotti take over the reins following Marco Silva sack. Ancelotti did manage to steady the ship to some extent but he still seems helpless with the quality of players he has at his disposal.

Coming back to the game against Sheffield, the highly spirited side of Chris Wilder is better than Toffees on paper as well as on the pitch. To win or even scramble a point will be a daunting task for the Blues, especially when the game is being played at Bramall lane.
To make matters worse, Ancelotti will be left without two of his preferred centre backs. Mason Holgate picked up a shin injury against the Clarets and Blue which forced him off after just 16 minutes into the match. The silver lining could be the rise of Jarrad Branthwaite who put in a tremendous shift alongside Michael Keane.
Meanwhile, Fabian Delph isn’t match ready and will not feature in any of the remaining two games. The 30 year old continues to train individually but will not be ready to feature this season. Apart from the trio, Jean Philippe Gbamin remains a long term absence.
