Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Napoli will leave Everton in an advantageous position to sign Hirving Lozano.

Napoli are closing in on Victor Osimhen who happens to be a target for Liverpool too. In fact, he was previously an option for Everton but owing to his high price, his transfer to Goodison isn’t feasible. But the arrival of the Nigerian in Naples will ease the talks regarding a transfer for Hirving Lozano to Everton.

LOSC Lille attacker Victor Osimhen has been the talk of the town since his unprecedented rise in European Football. In the league where Kylian Mbappe and Neymar steal majority of the headlines, Osimhen’s excellent skills and goals became a talking point. He transformed into Lille’s attacking inspiration, scoring 18 goals and providing 6 assists in the Corona Virus hit season.

The 21 year old is wanted name across Europe. After the Reds missed out on Timo Werner, Victor Osimhen became their first choice target. However, recent reports suggest that despite Jurgen Klopp’s interest, Osimhen is set to reject an advance from Liverpool and choose Napoli, the team that first showed interest in the Nigerian.

According to Daily Star, the 21 year old remains keen on moving to Italy at this stage of his career. Sports Journalist Fabrizio Romano also claimed that Victor Osimhen is one step away from Napoli transfer, with personal terms already agreed, Napoli are now working with the player’s entourage for minute details.

Napoli capturing Osimhen means Everton will have a clear path in their pursuit of Hirving Lozano. Napoli attack is filled with extremely talented and competent players like Arkadiusz Milik, Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens, Lozano and Matteo Politano.

Gennaro Gattuso has had a fair share of issues with Lozano and also kicked him out of Napoli training back in June because of his lack of commitment. Lozano isn’t a favoured player at Stadio San Paolo but Carlo Ancelotti has always been fond of the Mexican. Gattuso will likely isolate Lozano after Osimhen arrives so the best option for Lozano is to seek a move elsewhere.

Hirving Lozano has told his agent, Mino Raiola, to find him a new club and Everton are surely in the list of potential options. The 24 year old has had a tough troublesome time in Italy but now is the time to put an end to the Naples chapter and revive his sidetracked career.

Everton won’t face many hurdles from Gli Azzuri for Lozano as he would almost be surplus to requirements once Osimhen arrives. Carlo Ancelotti is hoping to kick start the exciting rebuilding process and Hirving Lozano could be a prime player in the Italian’s plans.
