The Premier League season culminated with Norwich City, AFC Bournemouth and Watford going down to the Championship. We look at the players Everton can target in the summer transfer window.

The relegation battle went down to the wire with AFC Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Watford all fighting for survival on the last day. It was the boys from Villa who prevailed and retained their Premier League status for another season, but, the Cherries and Hornets weren’t that lucky.

Now with their demotion to the Championship, a firesale is on the cards sooner or later. Despite their teams not performing up to the mark, certain individual players of these relegated sides have the pedigree and rightfully deserve to continue playing in the Premier League.

Carlo Ancelotti may target them and get them for a relatively cheap price compared to other Toffees targets.

1. Ismaila Sarr

Ismaila Sarr arrived in the Premier League last summer after he shot to prominence in France with Stade Rennais. Watford bought the Senegal international for a fee of £27 million and in his debut season, Ismaila Sarr has repaid the faith shown in him by the club management.

The 22 year old scored 5 goals and assisted 6 in his inaugural season in England which by no means is a small feat. Many fans also labelled Ismaila Sarr as the new Sadio Mane of the Premier League. The speedster runs up and down the right flank, taking on defenders for fun and making them dance to his trickery.

A player like Ismaila Sarr in the Everton attack will amplify the lethality of the team. Sarr is most famously remembered for his startling performance against Liverpool in a 3-0 win over the reds, which ended the hopes of Klopp’s men to win the league unbeaten. This act of his has already made him a favourable star among the Goodson Park faithful.
