Everton face major competition from LOSC Lille over signing Alfredo Morelos from Rangers.
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is likely to depart this summer after a series of clubs have lined up for his signature. Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has also accepted that the Colombian will leave this transfer window and the Scottish club are already looking for replacements. Everton are long time admirers of Morelos but LOSC Lille are set to compete with the Toffees for the 24 year old’s signature.
Alfredo Morelos has had a splendid season so far, scoring 29 goals and assisting another 10 in 46 games. The Colombian will look continue this rich run of form in the UEFA Europa League as the Rangers take on Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg of the round of 16. The 24 year old has been sure shot outlet of goals for Gerrard’s side but the Scottish Premiership side may be helpless when it comes to securing Morelos’ future.
An interest from bigger clubs will eventually flatter Alfredo Morelos and he will leave the Ibrox. The Merseysiders have been tracking the Colombian and are interested to bring him to Goodison Park. In fact, there are whispers that the Merseysiders are open to sending Moise Kean to the opposite side on loan to facilitate a smooth transfer.
Everton are now facing a risk of missing out on the striker as LOSC Lille have confirmed that they are pursuing a deal for Alfredo Morelos, as per Independent. Lille president Gerard Lopez disclosed that Lille is in talks with the striker. The more surprising comment was that he admitted that Morelos too is keen on a move to Lille, however, talks are in initial stages.
