Everton are eyeing a move for Jose Campana from Levante as talks of Fabian Delph to Leeds United surface.

Leeds United are making a deserved return to the Premier League after a 16 year absence and the club hierarchy is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that the Whites are competitive enough in the Top Flight. Marcelo Bielsa is a huge fan of Everton midfielder Fabian Delph and is pushing for the signing of the 30 year old. Everton are aware of the Delph interest and are eyeing Jose Campana as his replacement at Goodison Park.

When teams make the big fat jump from Championship to Premier League, a certain degree of upgrades need to be made to the squad in order to just survive in the Top Flight. Leeds United have begun their upgrade and are chasing some big names. One of them is Fabian Delph of Everton. Marcelo Bielsa views Delph as the perfect guy to bring some Top Flight experience to Leeds team.

A two time league winner at Manchester City, Delph also has the champion mindset that will be required to flourish at the top level. The 30 year old is a former Leeds United player and knows the culture well. Marcel Brands is wasting no time in finding a replacement, in case Fabian Delph departs for the Whites.

According to El Desmarque, Everton are eyeing Levante central midfielder Jose Campana. A host of clubs have enquired about the Spaniard including the likes of Arsenal and Aston Villa. Interestingly, even Leeds have shown interest in the 27 year old but Bielsa looks to prefer Delph.

More from Prince Rupert's Tower

Jose Campana has tasted the competitiveness of the Premier League back in 2013-14 with Crystal Palace but that stint proved to be unsuccessful, putting a massive dent on the Spaniard’s confidence. Camapana was able to salvage his career in Spain and rise again as a competent midfielder.

The in demand midfielder has done a decent job at Levante and his consistent performances is one of the reasons why a number of clubs are interested in him. Everton may potentially see Jose Campana as a replacement to Fabian Delph with both players being very much alike. The 27 year old will be a much fresher and younger option compared to Delph, offering plenty of options to Ancelotti.

Jose Campana is valued at £18 million but with the player contracted at Levante till 2023, the Toffees may have to pay upwards of £20 million to secure his services. Whether the Toffees chase Jose Campana extensively or not, will have to be seen in the upcoming days. Altogether, he is a pretty solid player who can add some handsome quality to the Everton midfield.
