Everton must look into signing Federico Bernardeschi from Juventus as a replacement to Theo Walcott.

Juventus and Maurizio Sarri are on a mission in this transfer window: to find the right mix of players that can orchestrate ‘Sarriball’ at Allianz Stadium. The expansive style requires certain breed of players lined up in a 4-3-3 formation. So far, Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi hasn’t fared well. Everton are on the hunt for a right winger to replace Theo Walcott, Bernardeschi might be the right guy.

Theo Walcott signed for Everton for £20 million in 2018 but he has done very little to justify the price the Toffees paid for him. His slump has been massive and the threat from right wing has been missing throughout this season. As many as 8 players were tried and tested but none of them produced satisfactory results.

Marcel Brands and Ancelotti are scratching their heads to finalize the players who can be the real deal on the right wing. Players like Hirving Lozano, Cengiz Under, Jeremie Boga have been linked and possibilities of signing them have been explored but no progress has been made.

There may be one name that the Royal Blues are missing out and it is of Federico Bernardeschi. Juventus are looking to sell the Italian in order to bring new faces. The 26 year old hasn’t been an efficient attacking outlet under Sarri. He has often looked like a lost kid in the park under Sarri but that doesn’t mean he is a bad player.

More from Prince Rupert's Tower

The Old Lady man is a creative force who loves to exploit spaces left by the opposition. Through his Fiorentina and Crotone days, he has earned the reputation of dribbling past players making defenders dance to his tunes. His exceptional speed combined with handsome trickery makes him a constant threat on the right flank.

According to Goal, the Scudetto winners are open to offloading Federico Bernardeschi and Douglas Costa this summer. Everton must make an attempt to lure the Italian to Goodison Park. Some English teams are already interested, Everton can join the train and make every possible effort to seal a deal.

Juventus offered Bernardeschi to Barcelona in exchange of Ivan Rakitic but the deal collapsed as a fee wasn’t agreed upon. The Old Lady also offered the Italian to Napoli for Arkadiuz Milik but that deal has reached a dead end too. Juve are desperate to sell the 26 year old, even if it means to incur some losses on the €40 million they paid for him to Fiorentina in 2017.
