Everton and Newcastle United are among the host of clubs chasing Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.
Another day, another round of transfer rumours. This time it’s Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara who has been linked with a move to Everton. Apart from the Toffees, Newcastle United, Southampton, Dynamo Kiev and Dinamo Moscow are also in the running.
Yes, it is true that Everton needs to address the midfield the most and the club hierarchy is constantly trying to get a deal over the line. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was a big target but he chose to move to Tottenham Hotspur. The pursuit of Allan is making encouraging progress with the Royal Blues just a few million away from Napoli’s evaluation but they are confident of reaching a middle ground.
Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara is the latest player to be linked with a move to Goodison Park, as per 90min. Glen Kamara is wanted across the Premier League as well as by recently relegated clubs. Southampton, Newcastle United, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Norwich City and the Toffees are said to be enquiring about the Finnish.
However, it looks likes Dinamo Moscow and Dynamo Kiev are the ones who are leading the race for the 24 year old with the Russian side willing to pay £10 million for his freedom. Steven Gerrard has indicated that Glasgow Rangers may have to bid adieu to some players. Alfredo Morelos is another name that may exit the Ibrox with admirers overseas.

Glen Kamara is a classic, old school defensive midfielder who has featured regularly for the Gers. The Royal Blues have just registered some interest that doesn’t guarantee that Brands will be chasing the Finland international.
I don’t think that there’s much weight to this rumor and despite Kamara being an impressive defensive midfielder who can certainly elevate the quality of the midfield, Everton will likely concentrate more on other options. At 24, Glen Kamara isn’t running out of steam or time and will have more teams circling around him in the future.
He can choose to stay with the Gers in and attempt breaking the monopoly of Celtic over the Scottish Premiership title and can think of a move to the Premier League later in his career. A move to Goodison is unlikely, perhaps, a team like Crystal Palace or Newcastle is better suited for the former Arsenal academy product.
