Moise Kean has had a rough start to life in England since his move to Everton from Juventus. Ahead of the next season, what are the questions to be asked?

Moise Kean made a move from Juventus to Everton last summer for £27.5 million in a bid to become a first team regular. One year on, Kean is nowhere close to his desired goal. 23 substitute appearances, 6 starts and 2 goals in the first season do not paint a picture that any Kean supporter would be proud of. Ahead of the next season, what are the questions that need to be asked regarding Moise Kean?

1. Is he going to stay at Everton?

Probably, the most important question about his future. It is clear that he hasn’t got the desired playing time in his first season. Just 886 minutes of Premier League football is not what Moise Kean would have imagined of playing under three different managers.

Whispers were flying around of him being sent on loan to Rangers if the Toffees bought Alfredo Morelos. The move never happened and those rumours were quickly put to the bed. The latest news suggests that Kean’s agent, Mino Raiola, is trying to engineer a move to AC Milan that will see the 20 year old pair up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

AC Milan wanted a loan with an option to buy deal whereas the Toffees wanted £25 million upfront. Despite all the links and rumours, it is unlikely that the Italian mill move away from Goodison this summer.

Carlo Ancelotti has kept faith in the 20 year old and has continued to back him in the media. The Italian manager has pushed his countryman to keep on improving and remain patient for his chance.
