Napoli President has handed a major boost to Everton in the Allan deal.

The Allan transfer saga has rumbled on for months now. From not agreeing to the transfer fees to fighting other teams to finally reaching a conclusion, Everton have toiled hard to get their man. Reports say now it’s just a matter of days before Allan becomes official.

While personal terms have already been agreed between Allan and the Toffees, Napoli and Everton are still finalizing the transfer terms. As per a report from One Football, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is set to hand a transfer boost to Everton.

UEFA Champions League runners-up PSG are also said to be in the hunt of Allan but Gli Azzurri president is not too keen to do business with PSG. Les Parisiens tried to sign the Brazilian last summer but a move never materialized as the two teams could never reach an agreement. De Laurentiis doesn’t want to do business with PSG because of the experiences he has had in the past with the Ligue 1 club.

According to Italian journalist Carlo Alvino:

"Napoli is evaluating how to close the negotiations, but not with the will to do so. PSG offered a very special payment, with sponsorships. De Laurentiis wants them to show him the money that has to go and arrive in the checking account. With all the details of the case. Napoli does not like accounting tricks or more or less legitimate operations with sponsorships, which is why negotiations with PSG have been blocked."

Everton should be able to close in on a deal this week. Allan has already agreed personal terms that will see him pocket €90,000 a week on a four year deal. Elsewhere, the Toffees are making considerable progress in Abdoulaye Dourcoure chase but face some competition from Wolves.

Will Allan play a key role in the team next season?
