Everton has survived a late scare from Juventus who were looking to hijack Allan from Napoli.
The Allan saga has rumbled on for months. It finally appears that Everton has their man after weeks of intense negotiations with Napoli. However, to add more twist to the transfer saga, Juventus were looking for a late transfer hijack of Allan.
Carlo Ancelotti has been very clear with the Everton board on his stance for Allan. The Italian wants the 29 year old at all costs as he thinks Allan is the right man to steady the imbalanced midfield. The Toffees were quick to establish initial channels of communication with Napoli. The Brazilian was open to reuniting with Ancelotti and had given a nod from his side.
Once his ‘OK’ arrived, Brands didn’t waste time in getting him to agreeing to personal terms. Allan is set to pocket €90,000 a week in wages and sign a four year deal with the Royal Blues. The Toffees now started a serious round of discussions with Napoli over the transfer fee with Brands only offering €25 million initially. The bid was instantly rejected by the Naples side who valued the Brazilian at €40 million.

Napoli has communicated to Juventus that the deal has been locked with Everton and no further negotiations will take place. This will be a huge sigh of relief for the Royal Blues who have tirelessly worked to bring this transfer to fruition.
