Everton: James Rodriguez already in England, signing to be announced on Wednesday
As per some reports, James Rodriguez is already in England finalizing details of his transfer from Real Madrid.
James Rodriguez to Everton is now a reality. What was initially a dream signing for Carlo Ancelotti is now taking shape into reality. A deal has been agreed between Real Madrid and Everton for €25 million. In order to reunite with Carlo Ancelotti, the Colombian has also taken a reported wage cut.
According to a report from Colombian outlet El Vbar Caracol, James Rodriguez is already in England and is finalizing the last few details before the transfer. Once these details are completed, he’ll undergo a medical before eventually completing a transfer.
James Rodriguez will be a major coup for the Toffees. Farhad Moshiri had promised a marquee signing and he has delivered the 29 year old. Ancelotti will be thrilled to have Rodriguez back in his roster with the player-manager pair holding high amount of respect for one another. At €25 million, he may be a slightly expensive signing considering he has only one year left at Real Madrid but he for sure has the ability to live up to the price tag.
The idea is to give Ancelotti the players that he is familiar with and who are able to quickly adapt to his style. The smooth transition will help Everton to take some big leaps towards their challenge for European football.

According to Sky Sports, James Rodriguez could agree a deal and join Everton by Wednesday. James will like to put an underwhelming end to his time at Madrid where he has fallen down the pecking order and is deemed as surplus to requirements. Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane was not keen on keeping him and Everton came with an offer.
This will be the third time James Rodriguez will be playing under the Italian. With the arrival of the Colombian and Allan, Ancelotti is expected to tweak the team shape before the start of next season. James is best suited to play as an attacking midfielder, behind the striker.
His addition will be key in Toffees’ pursuit of European football and if James does manage to reach his maximum output levels under Ancelotti, the dream of Europe won’t remain far.
