Colombian striker Hamilton Ricard has advised James Rodriguez to raise his game and enjoy the football life if England as Everton move inches closer.
At this point, Everton are simply playing with our emotions. Allan, James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Doucoure have all undergone their medicals and are in Liverpool but haven’t been announced as the new signings. Ahead of the Colombian’s much anticipated move to the Toffees, former Premier League striker Hamilton Ricard has given a piece of advice to his fellow compatriot.
James Rodriguez endured a tough phase of his career at Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane. Now he aims to put his torrid time behind him and restart his career at Goodison Park. Carlo Ancelotti is fond of the 29 year old and is very keen to reunite with the attacker for the third time.
With James Rodriguez moving from Spain to England, there will be a change in atmosphere and style. The Colombian will be introduced the fierce Premier League environment and he will have to adapt in order to produce maximum results. Hamilton Ricard, former Middlesbrough striker, who spent 3 years in the Premier League, has advised his compatriot to raise his game and enjoy the glitz and glamour.
"I hope he enjoys a footballer’s life in England, it’s real glamour. It’s the best. They put everything at your service. Football is their life and it’s another goal in their life. It’s a different life, different football, different club…Raise your game and be a starter again. (via Inside Futbol)"

James Rodriguez will join Yerry Mina at Everton and Ricard hopes that the defender will help the 29 year old settle in Liverpool and will have his back whenever required. Mina moved from Barcelona, Spain to England in 2018 and has adapted to the new life and climate relatively well.
"He always helps a team-mate that speaks Spanish, a Colombian that’s there. He knows the city, the surroundings… he’ll take you wherever. Yerry will lend him a hand. (via Inside Futbol)"
The Colombian is expected to play a key role next season with Ancelotti possibly deploying him at the wings. James can also play as a No.10 behind the striker giving flexibility to the Toffees. The announcement is expected soon with the player already in the Titanic Hotel of Liverpool and seen in a local restaurant.
Whatever the case, the Evertonians have huge expectations from James Rodriguez. He can be the key face of the Everton rebuild that is being executed under Ancelotti.
