Everton will have to fight AC Milan and Atalanta to sign Denis Bouanga from Saint-Etienne.

Denis Bouanga is popularly touted as the next Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The 25 year old also hails from Gabon and dreams of playing in the Premier League. While Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is killing it at Arsenal, Bouanga’s rise has not gone unnoticed. Everton and AC Milan his admirers and now Atalanta have also joined the chase.

Denis Bouanga has been courted by a number clubs after his brilliant performances for Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1 this season. The Gabonese switched from Nimes Olympique to Les Verts in 2019 and in his debut season has been inspiring for the team.

The 25 year old scored 10 goals in 26 games and provided 3 assists in Ligue 1. Overall, Bouanga managed to score 12 goals and create another 5 in 36 appearances throughout the last season.

These impressive numbers turned quite a few heads. Firstly, Stade Rennais launched a bid for Denis Bouanga in the region of €12 million which was quickly rejected as Etienne were holfing out on a fee of €15 million.

Soon the likes of Everton, AC Milan, Valencia also joined the race. Atalanta are the latest side to contact Saint-Etienne for attacker Denis Bouanga, as per Get French Football News. More from Prince Rupert's Tower

According to a report from Le10 Sport last month, AC Milan have concrete interest in the Gabon international. Everton have been widely credited with an interest as Toffees look to add an attacker to the ranks after triple midfield signings.

The woes at the right wing have been evident last season and Everton are in no mood to see a repeat telecast of it this season. Theo Walcott is just not potent enough to do the job and in such case Denis Bouanga is a good shout. Especially, considering that he is available for an affordable price of €15 million.

The Serie A giants: AC Milan and Atalanta are also in the mix but the temptation of playing in the Premier League rides supreme. Denis Bouanga wants to take the next step in his career and switching from France to England is definitely a step forward. The 25 year old attacker, who is capable of playing at either wing will benefit massively under Professor Carlo Ancelotti, should a transfer take place.
