Despite numerous reports stating that Everton are now formulating an offer for Hirving Lozano, the stance of Napoli on the Mexican makes a transfer extremely unlikely.

Carlo Ancelotti has already reunited with former pupils Allan and James Rodriguez at Everton and is now wishing for reunification with Hirving Lozano. According to Il Mattino (via Sport Witness), Everton have asked about Hirving Lozano. After a midfield revamp, the Toffees are set to shift their focus on bringing a winger and the file of Lozano is being discussed in the Everton offices.

This is not the first time Everton have been linked to the Mexican. Back in June, it was widely reported that Hirving Lozano could be on his way to Everton after Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso removed the Mexican from training for showing lack of commitment. In fact, Hirving Lozano had reportedly asked his agent Mino Raiola to find a new club for him.

Since then, the manager and the player have come a long way and Gatusso has started to like the Mexican. While discussing Allan on the negotiations table, Napoli and Everton also discussed Hirving Lozano, as per CalcioNapoli24.

However, the report claimed that the talks of a potential deal for Lozano failed instantly between Aurelio De Laurentiis and the Everton counterpart as the Naples side have changed their stance and do not want to sell him.

Yesterday, Il Mattino reported that Napoli are not interested in selling him reiterating their U-turn in the Lozano situation. Now, Calciomercato reporter Daniele Longo said that Everton are formulating a bid for Hirving Lozano.

Despite all the reports and the rumour mill, I doubt Everton will be able to sign Hirving Lozano even if they made an eye catching, lucrative bid. It is true that the pair of Gennaro Gattuso and Chucky Lozano had extreme tension between them a month ago but there has been an overwhelming change of heart.

Napoli have witnessed a swirl of ins and outs and are braced for more arrivals and departures. Especially the attack line looks to be revamped with the exit of Arkadiusz Milik imminent. Jose Callejon has already left after his deal expired and Victor Osimhen arrived for £63 million.

Napoli may not want to lose the Mexican speedster and are prepared to bank upon him in the upcoming season as they aim to mount a title challenge this time around.

According to 100X100Napoli, Gli Azzurri have also told Mino Raiola that his client is in Gatusso’s plans. Multiple sources have confirmed from time to time that Napoli have changed their outlook towards Hirving Lozano and are ready to count on him for next season.

So, in theory, Gennaro Gattuso has made the Mexican an untransferrable player. All the signs point at Lozano staying at Stadio San Paolo and despite the initial sourness in the relations, Gatusso and Lozano are ready to put their bad phase behind and move forward.

Even if Everton launch an official offer for the Mexican it seems that it won’t be enough to lure Napoli into agreeing to a transfer.
