Everton can sign Cengiz Under after the swap deal of Arkadiusz Milik and Under between AS Roma and Napoli has collapsed.
AS Roma and Napoli were seemingly close to agreeing to a deal that would see Arkadiusz Milik move to Rome and in return the Giallorossi would pay a significant sum of money and send Cengiz Under to Stadio San Paolo. Now, it is understood that Napoli are no longer interested in Under and the deal has collapsed. With the Turk available on the market, Everton must try signing him.
It is no secret that Everton is now evaluating their options for right wing in the transfer market. The names of Wilfried Zaha and Hirving Lozano have dominated the headlines. But both of these players are right footed whereas the Toffees need to look for a left footed right winger.
Theoretically, Wilfried Zaha and Hirving Lozano both the can play on the right wing but are dominant on the left side. Either of the two wingers will cost upwards of £30 million and spending such an amount of money on the left wing is not sensible when you already have players who can play on the left flank.
In the case of Hirving Lozano, the Toffees may not be able to sign him as Napoli have had a change of heart and want to keep the Mexican and trust him for the next season.
Everton needs a left footed right winger and someone who fits inside the £30 million bracket. AS Roma winger Cengiz Under should be a strong candidate. Everton were linked to the Turkish speedster back in June but the links have been dead after Napoli were said to be having the edge over the rest for the 23 year old.

AS Roma wanted to sign Arkadisuz Milik from Napoli and in return the Glim Azzurri were demanding a handsome amount of cash and the services of Cengiz Under.
The two Italian giants had almost a deal agreed in principle but now many reports state that the deal is off. According to Giallorossi.net, Napoli is no longer interested in Under and want €35 million upfront for Milik.
With the deal collapsing, Cengiz Under is back on the market and Everton must pay close attention. Back in June, Everton had also enquired about AS Roma man and established a communication channel with the Italians.
AS Roma value Under in the £25 million region, a price which the Royal Blues can afford if they manage to make a few sales. Cengiz Under ticks the box of being young and having the hunger to succeed at the top level.
The Turk spent the majority of last season on sidelines due to injuries, with the new season on the horizon he is raring to go. Ancelotti admires him and he fits the bill, so I can’t see why Everton are not considering a move for Under, especially, after the AS Roma-Napoli deal is off.
The player is just 23 years old and has plenty of years left at the top. He can come to England and polish himself into an even more threatening winger. The last time a winger from AS Roma came to Merseyside, it panned out really well. So, why can’t we hope that Cengiz Under will also have a similar impact if he switches from Rome to Everton?
