Here is the predicted Everton line up against Tottenham Hotspur.

With just mere weeks passed since the end of last season and no fans in attendance due to the ongoing global pandemic, the Premier League returns this weekend. This season promises to be one of the most unique and unpredictable campaigns in the competition’s history with every club having to adapt to factors they have not had to deal with before.

As for Everton, they will be looking to improve on a disappointing 12th place finish last time out and will be aiming to finish in a European spot after yet more investment to the squad already in this transfer window.

The opening fixture against Tottenham this Sunday comes at a time when Carlo Ancelotti is still in the process of moulding his squad for the upcoming season. With more ins and out expected before the transfer window closes, Everton’s matchday squad may well feature players that will not be at the club for much longer.

With all that in mind, here is how we think the Toffees could line-up this Sunday.

Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford

With Everton yet to bring in any genuine competition for the former Sunderland goalkeeper, it is almost guaranteed that Jordan Pickford will start between the sticks for the Blues.

After receiving plenty of criticism last season for his wildly inconsistent performances, Pickford will need to have a better campaign this time around if he is to hold onto the number one jersey for both club and country.
