Not much of a surprise with Richarlison and DCL starting as strikers.

Strikers: Richarlison & Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were two of Everton’s shining lights in a disappointing campaign last season, particularly when they were employed as a front two pairing in the second half of the season.

Both players will likely have been satisfied with their goal returns from the previous campaign, but will be looking to improve on them this season with expected better service from a more creative and energetic midfield.

They are both almost guaranteed to start this Sunday and coming against a likely centre back pairing of Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld for Tottenham Hotspur, they will both be hoping to open their goalscoring accounts at the first time of asking this weekend.

New signing James Rodriguez is an obvious omission from this starting line-up, but having only just finalised his move to the Toffees earlier this week and having limited first team chances at Real Madrid towards the end of last season, Carlo Ancelotti will likely want to build up his fitness slowly and use the Colombian as an impact sub in the first few games of the season.

With the likes of Bernard, Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean also available for selection, the Blues will have plenty of attacking options to bring on from the bench if needed this Sunday.
