Everton take on West Brom in the first home game of the Premier League this season and Carlo Ancelotti is expected to name another strong side with the likes of James Rodriguez, Allan and Richarlison all featuring.

Everton kicked off their league campaign in style, winning the first game against Tottenham Hotspur away 1-0. It was a dominant show of brilliance, top quality technicality and all round individual performances. This was followed by another impressive outing against Salford City in the Carabao Cup where Carlo Ancelotti made a total of 10 changes to the side.

However, in the process, Jarrad Branthwaite has succumbed to injury, joining Mason Holgate on the treatment table. This leaves the Toffees with just 2 fit senior centre backs in Yerry Mina and Michael Keane.

Meanwhile, West Brom faced an opening day 3-0 defeat at home to Leicester City which gave a glimpse of how badly can Slaven Bilic’s side suffer in their first season after promotion. Carlo Ancelotti is expected to name a strong eleven, so here is my predicted line up for Everton:

Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford

The Englishman was terrific in the last game, pulling off some spectacular saves to keep a clean sheet against Tottenham Hotspur. He was genuinely a contender for the man of the match award.

Pickford needs to repeat the same level of performance against West Brom to prove to his doubters that his strong showing wasn’t a one match wonder. Perhaps, this will be an easier game for Jordan Pickford considering West Brom’s attack is not as threatening as of Spurs.
