Everton flop Yannick Bolasie could be headed for an Everton exit as Olympiacos is mulling over a move.

Everton signed Yannick Bolasie in 2016 from Crystal Palace for £25 million with a hope that he would elevate the quality at wings. Almost 5 years later, no one could have predicted such downfall. Yannick Bolasie has simply failed to convince the Evertonians. Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t count on him and is open to selling him. Olympiacos may come up with a rescue offer.

Yannick Bolasie last played a game for the Royal Blues almost two and a half years ago. He has spent more time on loan since his arrival at Goodison than playing for the Toffees. Loan spells to Aston Villa, RSC Anderlecht and Sporting couldn’t help him regain his lost touch.

The injuries he suffered during this period only made it worse. After returning from Portugal, Yannick Bolasie insisted that he will fight for his place and try and get into contention for a spot in the team.

However, Yannick Bolasie has failed to make it to the 18 man Carabao Cup squad where Ancelotti has made wholesale rotations. Making it to the Premier League squad is still a distant dream. Don’t get me wrong, I am not someone who hates Bolasie. The Congolese is a true Everton fan and has always shown love for the club. This is what you like to see from the players in your club.

In fact, he simply doesn’t deserve the hate he gets on social media. However, it can’t be neglected that he may simply not be good enough for the current team. As a well-wisher, I want to see him play even if it means not seeing him at Everton.

Yannick Bolasie can be given an escape route in form of Olympiacos.  The Greeks want to take the 31 year old ahead of the transfer window deadline, as per Football Insider. Carlo Ancelotti has already given a green light to Bolasie’s exit as the Congolese doesn’t feature in his plans.

Olympiacos want to take him on loan instead of a permanent transfer and hope that Everton will also cover some part of his £70,000 a week wages. Whether a deal does materialize or not remains to be seen but I personally hope that Yannick Bolasie moves elsewhere and gets some regular minutes.

At Everton, how much ever he tries, he won’t get a run of games. A loan move to Olympiacos is the best possible outcome for all parties.
