Everton has an enormous squad which needs to be shortened before the end of the transfer window.

Everton has a squad of 32 players in total. That is almost equal to three different starting lineups. With such a massive squad, man-management becomes an extremely arduous task with every player pushing to make the cut for the matchday. The Matchday squads are of only 18 so eventually, players will miss out and feel frustrated after some time if their exclusion is repetitive.
