Forwards:
Right wing: James Rodriguez
James Rodriguez is the easiest prediction on the team sheet. Even though he played entire 90 minutes against the Hammers, Ancelotti certainly would like to use him again, allow him to bend the game in Everton’s favour and then take him off for a much-deserved rest.
James Rodriguez has absolutely taken England by storm and a game against Brighton once again offers him a chance to be the guiding light. James Rodriguez will be expected to again control the tempo and leave people awestruck with his insane technical skills.
Striker: Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Is there a more in-form striker than Dominic Calvert Lewin in the Premier League? Forget the Premier League, is there a better firing striker than DCL in Europe? Certainly Not. Dominic Calvert-lewin has 8 goals in 4 games this season. He is in red hot form and there’s no chance that Ancelotti is leaving him on the bench.
Brighton and Hove Albion does not have the best of the defences and penetrating them won’t be a gruelling task considering the form DCL is in. I’d bank on him to score a couple of goals against them.
Left wing: Alex Iwobi
Even though Richarlison will undergo a late fitness test and could be deemed fit, there’s a high probability that Ancelotti won’t risk him. Richarlison is one of the most important pieces in the Everton jigsaw and unnecessarily risking him makes no sense. Alex Iwobi is a proper option available and could get his first league start this season. James Rodriguez can feed those cross field balls and if Iwobi is able to finish one of them, it’ll be an icing on the cake.
Maybe if things do not go well with the Nigerian, Richarlison can come on for a late cameo. Iwobi doesn’t have many chances left to convince Ancelotti and there’s a chance that Iwobi may not be an Everton player next season.
Will Everton run riot against Brighton and Hove Albion?
