Here are the Everton player ratings against Brighton and Hove Albion

Everton have emphatically maintained their 100 per cent start to the campaign, winning 7 games out of seven. Everton dismantled Brighton and Hove Albion to make it 4 wins out of 4 in the league, their best start in Top Flight since 1969, the year Toffees went onto win the league.

There would be some suggestions that this was not the most convincing win but what mattered was the clinical character Everton had while going forward. On a wet afternoon in Merseyside, Everton managed to put 4 goals past the Seagulls including a brace from Colombian talisman James Rodriguez. Dominic Calvert-Lewin added yet another goal taking his season tally to 9. The other Colombian in the team, Yerry Mina, also converted James Rodriguez cross.

However, Carlo Ancelotti will have a few concerns post this game. The injuries are piling up with Richarlison and Seamus Coleman the latest to join the long list of players on the treatment table.

The good news is that we are about to enter the international break which allows the Toffees to assess their players and give the injured players much needed rehab time. Jordan Pickford’s errs were once again visible. With Transfer window closing on 5th October, Everton have one last chance to make changes between the sticks. Here are the Everton player ratings vs. Brighton and Hove Albion:

Match Review. Pickford error again in Everton win. light

Goalkeeper:

Jordan Pickford: 5

The biggest negative of the game was Jordan Pickford exposed again. He had very little to do until the 41st minute and the first real moment where he was to shield the goal, he fumbled and allowed Brighton and Hove Albion to equalize. Carlo Ancelotti has defended the Englishman in front of the media, my only question is how long can he keep defending Pickford if he continues to make these errors. His efforts were a bit more satisfactory in the second half but nowhere close to where they should have been.
