Moise Kean is set to move to PSG on loan which opens doors to Everton signing Fernando Llorente from Napoli.
According to reliable journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Moise Kean will join PSG on loan. The Italian was also chased by Juventus as Andrea Pirlo searches a deputy No.9. The Bianconeri were admirers for too long but PSG have pipped them to the signing. Now that Moise Kean to PSG on loan is done. The Toffees will have to find a backup in the market and Napoli forward Fernando Llorente is certainly one of the candidates.
Carlo Ancelotti always pressed in front of the media that Moise Kean has a future at Everton so the loan move has come as a slight surprise.
It appears as though the player and the agent were pushing for the move and not the club who were looking to get him off the books temporarily. PSG will sign Moise Kean on loan as a replacement to Eric Choupo-Moting. Moise Kean won’t be a regular starter at Parc Des Princes but could be a useful substitute.
Frankly, I don’t understand the move. Carlo Ancelotti strongly believed in is compatriot’s talents and his game time and involvement would have increased this season. Despite Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s breathtaking form, Kean would have gotten plenty of opportunities over the course of the season. Whatever it is, Kean will spend this season in Paris leaving Everton to fill in the void left in the squad with a centre forward.
The Toffees held initial talks with Napoli striker Aradiusz Milik but the wage demands and Napoli’s high asking price meant Everton would pull out of this deal. However, Ancelotti’s eyes are now been caught by the availability of Fernando Llorente.

According to Football Insider, Everton have made an approach to sign Fernando Llorente. Initial contacts have been made with the Spaniard and there are good chances that a deal may be agreed upon on the deadline day. Llorente is not in contention for a regular role after the arrival of Victor Osimhen.
The 35 year old has just one year left on his deal at Napoli and may be looking at options after no assurances of playing time. Signing him won’t out much of a burden on the wage bill as he won’t have any outrageous demands and would be content with a similar package.
In 24 appearances (4 starts), he has scored 4 times for Napoli. If Everton do manage to sign him, the Toffees will maximize their aerial threat in the attack. DCL is one of the strongest headers of the ball and Llorente at 6 feet 3 inches will be a towering presence in the forward line.
Of course, Fernando Llorente won’t be a regular starter but a very valuable player in the squad. A deadline day signing wouldn’t be ruled out.
