James Rodriguez has become the lynchpin of the team.

3. James Rodriguez

James Rodriguez has been reborn at Everton. The last season at Real Madrid could be regarded as the lowest point in his career where game time was hard to come by and injuries further ravaged his confidence. His arrival has given the club and the club personnel a massive lift.

The talismanic figure has flawlessly become the creative engine of the team and instantly improved the game of others around him. The Colombian hasn’t shown one weak point in the four games he’s played in. He has scored 3 goals, assisted 2, created 12 chances so far.

His influence is much more than just stats. The whole system now seems to be ticking as per his pace and it is doing wonders for Ancelotti. We have been treated to the absolute best of Rodriguez at Goodison and it feels as if he’s just getting started and there is more midfield imagination to be unleashed.

Somewhat of a messiah in Colombia, Rodriguez adds value off the pitch as well, making him a gold mine of a marketing opportunity and enabling Everton to maximize their footprint in Latin America and North America.

light. Trending. Everton have a Moise Kean replacement and Dominic Calvert-Lewin backup ready

4. Abdoulaye Doucoure

Abdoulaye Doucoure is the tank of the team. The burst of energy and power will always come for this Frenchman. Doucoure was signed from Watford for £20 million and with what we have seen so far, he looks to be an absolute bargain.

While Allan offers defensive stability, Andre Gomes is assigned the role to operate in the final third and show his technical brilliance. As for Abdoulaye Doucoure, the energy levels have soared and reached an all time high at Goodison.

No player throws in as much energy as Doucoure in the middle of the park. The perfect box to box combination that complements each other’s style and roles. The trio works in tandem to make the whole midfield tick and make it look like a smooth, well-oiled system.
