The trio of James Rodriguez, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be looking to wreak havoc on a wounded Liverpool defence.
Forwards:
Right winger: James Rodriguez
I there was any doubt in that. Predicting the front line for Everton is one of the easiest jobs with James Rodriguez a guaranteed starter. If Everton are to have a positive result, Rodriguez will have a major impact on the game.
Threading those cross diagonal balls, dribbling past the defence and making smart passing decisions could all be on the display. James Rodriguez could release the pacey Richarlison or DCL on a counter attack.
Striker: Dominic Calvrt-Lewin
Calvert-Lewin is on cloud 9 right now. 9 goals in 5 games, 2 hat tricks, national team debut and a goal on national team debut sums up the kind of season DCL is having so far. There’s no way that Everton will make a positive impact without Calvert-Lewin having a say in it.
As I have mentioned a couple of times, Liverpool’s highline can be exploited as seen in the Aston Villa game and a striker like DCL, who can hold up play, run down the channels and be prolific and clinical can make the most out of it.
Left winger: Richarlison
Richarlison was injured against West Ham, passing a late fitness test and being included in the Brighton game. He picked up another injury against the Seagulls which forced him off. The Brazilian was involved in the international set up with the Selecao and in fact even scored a goal for the Seleccao.
Trent Alexander-Arnold hasn’t had the best of the season so far and Richarlsion will be hoping to further exploit the 20 year old and help Everton. The defensive contributions will also be important as the Toffees attackers will have to often carry out house duties.
