LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND – SEPTEMBER 30: Fabian Delph of England during the Carabao Cup fourth round match between Everton and West Ham United at Goodison Park on September 30, 2020 in Liverpool, England. Fabian Delph looked neat and tidy for the most part of the game.

Midfield:

Fabian Delph – 6

Fabian Delph actually a good game. He was confident on the ball, boasted his positional awareness and kept the balance on the left hand side. Once Nkounkou was subbed off, Delph slotted in the left back role to show his versatility and did a respectable job there too.

Allan – 6

Allan did the perfect job of breaking up Newcastle attack and winning the ball back on numerous occasions. But the lack of progress in the final third meant that most of his efforts went in vain. It was a strong resemblance to last week’s performance where he was one of the better performers on the pitch but couldn’t impact the game as much as he’d want.

Abdoulaye Doucoure – 6

Similarly to Delph on the left side, Doucoure did an awesome job covering the spaces left by Kenny on the right flank. Docuoure also slotted into the right back role, giving us the taste of his versatility. There is still a lot that the Frenchman can offer in a game and its time he unlocks his entire self in the Everton shirt.
