Newcastle boss Steve Bruce has been criticized for his defensive approach to games.

PRT: The Toffees arrive at Newcastle on the back of a 2-0 loss, does this give an psychological edge to the Toons playing at St.James’ Park?

"Carson: Honestly, I think it may be the opposite. Everton will likely enter the match fired up that they dropped that result vs. So’ton and will be motivated to get back on track against a mid-table side in Newcastle United. The Magpies picked up a point vs. Wolves after struggling for most of the match before Jacob Murphy’s free-kick goal late, so it’s not like they enter the match with a ton of confidence either."

PRT: It appears as though Steve Bruce has not been able to make the full use of resources available at his disposal, will Ancelotti’s tactics overpower Bruce?

"Carson: A slight breeze going forward would be more aggressive than Steve Bruce’s tactics. The Toon Army has been vocal about their displeasure with his negative approach to matches. Finally, Newcastle has some quality attacking players like Callum Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin, Ryan Fraser, and Miguel Almiron, but Brucey still lines up very defensively and limits the club to the occasional counter-attack."
