Everton have been linked to Real Madrid playmaker Isco.
When Carlo Ancelotti arrived at Everton, one of the biggest plus sides of the appointment was that some big names would arrive at Goodison which could have never been possible in the case of Marco Silva or Sam Allardyce. Ancelotti is a world renowned coach, winning 3 Champions League titles, working with some of the best players in the world.
The arrival of James Rodriguez, Allan showed the power Ancelotti can have in pulling the big names to the blue half of Merseyside. One season ago no one would have imagined that megastar James would be attracted to the club.
Everton have started the season brightly and apart from the last two games, one can’t really complain about the displays. James Rodriguez has been the creative lynchpin of the team and revitalized the Everton attack. The benefits of reunification with Ancelotti are already evident and we all know this is just the start.

Watching the Ancelotti-Rodriguez relationship blossom once again, another former pupil of the Italian is keen to reunite with him. Real Madrid playmaker Isco wants to join Ancelotti and Rodriguez at Everton, as per Mirror.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane doesn’t count on the Spanish playmaker and Los Blancos are ready to part ways with him. Real want to send him out on loan in January and put an obligation to buy clause for £18 million plus add-ons.
Isco, no doubt, will be a quality addition to the side and if at all Everton are considering signing him, they’ll first have to clear one major roadblock to facilitate Isco’s arrival.
Everton’s creative department houses James Rodriguez and Gylfi Sigurdsson. Sigurdsson was a regular first team player but has been pushed out to a more substitute based role this season. If Isco arrives, the Spaniard will be preferred which would see the Iceman further drop down the pecking order.
The 31 year old earns £100,000 a week and has a contract till 2022. His annual income goes to £5.2 million and he is one of the highest paid players at the club. It wouldn’t make sense to splash this much amount of money on a player who wouldn’t feature regularly and at the same time making sure to cover Isco’s wages.
Sigurdsson seems to be well past his shelf life at Everton and he doesn’t bring some sort of X-factor to the team. On the other hand, Isco is in his prime and has shown from time to time the impact he can have on the team if incubated in favourable surroundings. Isco is close to James Rodriguez and had a good time under Ancelotti when the Italian was the Real manager.
The Toffees should surely go for Isco but before that get rid of Sigurdsson.
