Seamus Coleman is expected to return to the lineup.

Defence:

Right back: Seamus Coleman

Everton captain has been declared fit for the Manchester United game and is almost a guaranteed name on the team sheet. The Irishman has had minor injury niggles recently which may be a worrisome considering that Kenny has not been able to fully convince everyone about the second choice. Coleman will be tasked with keeping the highly respected and admired MBE Marcus Rashford silent.

Centre back: Michael Keane

Keane was a highly criticized player earlier due to inconsistency but the 27 year old has been successful in turning the tide and winning support with some stupendous performances this season. The Englishman’s performances have taken a 180 degree flip with Keane now being consistent, reliable and less error prone.

Centre back: Mason Holgate

Yes, you read it right. Mason Holgate finally makes his first appearance of the season which means Yerry Mina is relegated to the bench. After picking up a toe injury in a friendly against Preston North End, Holgate was sidelined for 8-12 weeks. The 22 year old has recovered and took part in a full training session.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Holgate was a leader in the backline last season, marshaling the defence and helping his fellow colleagues. He was equally comfortable with the ball distribution. The return of Holgate further boosts Everton and gives more stability to the backline.

Left back: Lucas Digne

Digne will return to the lineup after his one match suspension, picking up a red card against Southampton. The aggressive left back will be itching to get forward and dart crosses for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
