Here is the Everton vs Manchester United combined XI.

I’ve decided to go with a 4-3-3 formation to build this squad, I’ll go through all eleven positions and also the manager I would choose.

Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford vs David De Gea

I think this one was pretty clear, even though on his day Pickford can be a fantastic goalkeeper, he’s rarely on his day.

David De Gea has proven his talent over the years, at one point he was arguably the best goalkeeper on the planet, and even though he’s bumped into a few crossroads, he’s still a fantastic goalkeeper, his ability to save the ball with his feet is up there with the best in the world and his positioning is usually great.

De Gea also has his mistakes and I think Dean Henderson is waiting for his opportunity to pounce on a De Gea mistake, in a similar fashion to how we saw Robin Olsen try to capitalise on Pickford’s poor form.

De Gea still has a lot of quality and has saved United multiple times, especially with their defensive problems over the last few years. I do think he gets a bit too much stick but that’s apart of the contract when you’re signed for Manchester United. To me, De Gea is the clear choice between the sticks.
