Gylfi Sigurdsson was the worst player on the pitch for Everton.

Midfield:

Allan – 6

Allan is a real animal. Despite being slightly off pace in the first half, the Brazilian made meaty tackles and challenges breaking down the play which could have resulted in a goal considering the plight of the defence yesterday.

light. Must Read. Everton need to clear one major roadblock to facilitate Isco arrival

Abdoulaye Doucoure – 5

Doucoure seems to be taking far too long to settle at Everton. The midfield general lost the ball, lacked energy and didn’t participate much in the attack. Again, he got better with the passing of time but could have done more. Sadly, despite such a bland performance, he looked better than quite a lot of Everton players.

Gylfi Sigurdsson – 4

Immobile, lacking pace and the quality that is needed to thrive. His lack of mobility heavily cost the Toffees in the midfield and put a lot of pressure on Allan and Docuoure which forced them to make errors as well. The Icelandic’s work ethic is questionable too with the player looking very casual at times. His set-piece deliveries were awful.
