Robin Olsen produced some excellent saves in the game against Newcastle.

Robin Olsen arrived at Goodison with the task of challenging Pickford for the starter’s role. The Swede himself comes with the tag of being error prone. After a long wait, Olsen finally got a chance to wear the Everton jersey against Newcastle where, despite conceding two goals, he was one of the most impressive players on the pitch in a dull game.

With just one game played, there isn’t much to evaluate but that one game showed us a glimpse that Olsen is capable of keeping Pickford on his toes and even fill in for him if required.
