Alex Iwobi sparkled in the right wing back role.

Midfield and wing backs:

Alex Iwobi – 7.5

Alex Iwobi featured as a right wing back and did a spectacular job, especially while going forward. His first half performance easily made him one of the contenders for man of the match but his intensity dropped in the second half. A series of mouthwatering crosses and a few dangerous runs in the attack.

I have been one of the biggest critics about the Nigerian but today he’s deserved the praise and most importantly he needs to maintain this form.

Allan – 7

Allan had a very decent game, dominating the space along with Abdoulaye Doucoure. It was important for him to shield the back three who could have been vulnerable to Fulham’s attack without the Brazilian. Allan did show his ruthless animal side at times.

Abdoulaye Doucoure – 8

The Frenchman got on the score sheet, registering his first goal in an Everton shirt. So far, we had seen Doucoure work hard in the defensive half with his presence in the final third often lacking but it seems his box-to-box character is finally showing. In a flaky second half, Doucoure maintained his level, contributing offensively as well as defensively.

Lucas Digne – 8.5

Lucas Digne is the best left back in the league currently. There’s simply no counter point to it. The Frenchman wore the captain’s armband in Coleman’s absence and was a monster while going forward. Richarlison’s inward movement allowed Digne lot of space to exploit which he rightly took advantage of.

Even though Digne was beaten by Ademola Lookman a couple of times, the 27 year old had a sensational game.
