More stories today that Everton are eyeing up another young attacking talent this time it’s a former Arsenal trainee Yunus Musah.

This story is yet another transfer rumour doing the rounds involving Everton as we move closer to the next transfer window in January.

There have been links to Isco at Real Madrid, Samuel Chukwueze and Lazio’s Luis Alberto. Now according to 90min.com the Toffees are one of a number of Premier League clubs tracking the teenager Musah.

The youngster is currently plying his trade in Spain with Valencia and they are looking to tie him to a long-term contract to ward off the alleged interest of English clubs.

According to Whoscored.com Musah has some qualities, in particular he’s good defensively and he’s certainly the kind of age that would interest Marcel Brands – assuming he’s still Everton’s Director of Football in January.

He likes to play on the right generally and that’s a position where the Blues could do with more options, although if Alex Iwobi continues his Fulham form over the next few matches, the Toffees might not need another right-side player.

He’s also only played a few La Liga games so is very inexperienced. Having said that Brands does have a track record of interest in such teenage talent, such as Moise Kean and Niels Nkounkou.

More from Prince Rupert's Tower

Thinking about it I don’t see this rumour has much to it and I can’t see Everton making a move for this player in January or any other time.

In related news Carlo Ancelotti has been talking about what if any business the Blues will be looking to do in the upcoming transfer window.

The uncertainly surrounding Brands future plays a part in the considerations and his reluctance to commit to anything yet. If Brands isn’t still in post in January then that might alter any tentative plans agreed between them.

The Toffees manager seems to be weighing up whether he will be making any new year moves despite the constant talk of player interest, especially in Isco who is being spoken of almost daily as a very strong possibility.

January is a difficult month to make good signings at the best of times and so if the club do make any moves it will probably be loan deals, although Ancelotti and Brands do like to keep their cards close to their chest.
