Allan was one of the best performers for Everton.

Midfielders and Full backs:

Tom Davies – 6

I am going to give Davies half a point simply because he played in an unfamiliar role. Performance wise, it was nothing exciting but considering he was in an unchartered territory, he fared well. In the early phase of the game, Davies lost the ball a few times but slowly got into the game. The Englishman still needs to polish his skills and there are signs that he’s already doing better than last season.

Allan – 7.5

Allan was the best outfield player for me on the pitch. His breaking runs during the first half of the match and some brilliant tackling on display is why he is deemed as arguably the best signing for Everton. Some of Doucoure’s mistakes left Allan exposed heavily and at some point left they Brazilian helpless.

His drives forward, breaking the press and finding spaces was something that Allan needs to do more in the upcoming games.

Abdoulaye Doucoure – 4.5

A very poor display from Abdoulaye Doucoure. He left Allan exposed too many times and never really had the momentum. I was very surprised to not see him get subbed off in the second half. His passing was out of touch, he gave away the ball too many times and didn’t trouble the Leeds defence with his powerful runs in the box. Doucoure needs to back himself, walk away from this and come back stronger.

Alex Iwobi – 6

Alex Iwobi is quite literally Everton’s Jack of all trades but master of none. He is able to slot himself in a new position every weekend but is not able to convert on that position. Frankly I was quite surprised to see Iwobi start as a left wing back. Fabian Delph or Nkounkou would have been a better option because the Nigerian was ineffective as a LWB. He did a fantastic job going forward last week but simply couldn’t mirror those performances on the left flank.
