2. Ivan Toney

The former Newcastle man has become a goal-scoring machine in recent seasons, grabbing 64 goal contributions during his time at Peterborough. The apex of this being the 19/20 season, where the 24-year old had 33 goal contributions in 39 appearances, and he hasn’t slowed down for Brentford, with 13 goals and 2 assists in 15 appearances, he’s been the in-form man in the Championship with a huge 7.52 rating being the second highest in the Championship, only behind Kieffer Moore.

Toney seems like a naturally gifted goalscorer averaging around 2.5 shots per game, with 1.6 of those being in the penalty area, he’s also quite an efficient passer, managing 1.1 key passes even though he’s only playing around 17.5 passes per game.

These passing numbers could be inflated due to Brentford’s high-powered attacking style, but these are still promising signs for Toney, especially if he’s paying attention to Ollie Watkins’ success in the top flight.

The Englishman will join the Toffees as a backup to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and he’d be a much better backup than £20m man Cenk Tosun. Toney has a great burst of pace and his natural finishing ability could make him one of the most dangerous super subs in the Premier League.

The only problem is Toney may not want to join a club that can only offer him substitute appearances, especially because teams like Crystal Palace and West Ham could use a clinical finisher as their new number 9.

It would be an amazing move by Everton, but I couldn’t see Toney joining due to Brentford’s promotion aspirations and other clubs in the Premier League will be able to offer him a starting spot.
