RB Leipzig boss Julian Naglesmann has commented on Everton target Sami Khedira’s situation at Juventus.

RB Leipzig’s journey from fifth tier German football to Bundesliga and Champions League in 10 years is truly impeccable. The world now starts to see them as a European giant. Certainly, not in the class of the Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and other elite but Julian Naglesmann’s side is constantly knocking on their doors.

They are the new elite in Bundesliga equally capable of Borussia Dortmund in challenging for the German crown and dethroning Bayern in the process. Leipzig’s unquestionable success in such a short span of time is fantastic but they haven’t reached the zenith yet. In order to become a true heavyweight, RB Leipzig needs to win trophies and have a pool of quality in the squad.

Die Roten Bullen have youthful exuberance in their squad and now want to add veteran experience in the team. RB Leipzig boss Julian Naglesmann addressed the rumour of Sami Khedira. The German has also been linked to Everton.

"All the names available to strengthen the team must be carefully evaluated. And I can assure you that we will. Khedira? He would be an excellent player for many European clubs given his experience, his ability to be a leader for having played in teams like Real Madrid and Juve. It is bad to see him on the fringes of the Juventus squad. (via Tribal Football)"

Juventus and Khedira are heading towards a divorce. Whether the separation occurs in January or next summer remains to be seen. Juventus want to get rid of the 2014 World Cup winner in January in order to save money for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Khedira pockets £130,000 a week and Juve wants to terminate his contract in January itself. Khedira remains open to a Premier League move and has admitted that he wishes to play in the English Top Flight if the opportunity arises.
