Here is the Everton predicted lineup against Chelsea.

Everton host Frank Lampard’s Chelsea at Goodison on Saturday. This is surely one of the biggest test for Carlo Ancelotti’s men who have not been able to put up fruitful results on the board in recent times. Everton’s early season upstart seems like ages ago with the team struggling with a number of issues recently.

Injuries, suspensions, defensive instability have plagued the team. To add to Everton’s misery, the Toffees will be without their talisman James Rodriguez. The Colombian, Fabian Delph and Seamus Coleman are set to miss the tie against Lampard’s side. Without the former Real Madrid playmaker in the starting lineup, the Toffees could take a deep plunge into the pool of mediocrity and the 90 minutes can turn into a gruelling experience.

Here is the Everton predicted lineup:

Match Preview. Tough test for Everton against Chelsea. light

Goalkeeper: Jordan Pickford

It is one of the most important games for Everton in this jam-packed December and having an in-form Jordan Pickford would really help the Toffees. The Englishman is building a solid foundation on the back of strong displays against Burnley and Leeds United. I think he’s in the best form of the season after the early exploits against Tottenham Hotspur in the inaugural game of the season.

Chelsea’s multidimensional attack consisting of the likes of Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud is a real threat and will constantly be on the lookout to create goalscoring opportunities and test Pickford. The 26 year old is riding high on confidence and if he continues to have self belief, he’ll be able to keep the ball away from the goal.
